About me / Jakub Gołębiowski
I'm connecting strategy, marketing and experience entrepreneurs.

I help companies decide what to develop, how to reach customers and how to translate the plan into everyday work. I combine business analysis with understanding people, communication and implementation organization. I can look at the entire company, select the most important problem and combine the work of people who will help solve it.
I have over 10 years of experience in marketing and sales. I have worked on over 500 projects in over 15 countries, for startups, local companies, public institutions and global brands. At the same time, I have been building my own companies for over a dozen years. Thanks to this, I know how strategic decisions translate into the budget, team work and results.
I know marketing from strategy to execution
I have been developing Rek House since 2018. Before we focused on video marketing, I ran a 360° agency. We created brands, developed strategies, built websites and online stores, and ran campaigns. Today, I still use this knowledge, both in working with clients and in running my own business.
I worked on every stage of the customer journey: from the first contact with the brand, through offer evaluation and purchase, to service and further relationships. My experience includes:
- Strategy and brand. Market and customer research, competitor analysis, segmentation, positioning, value propositions, offer development and building brands from scratch.
- Communication and creative work. Naming, visual identity direction, copywriting, storytelling, social media content, print materials, photo shoots and video production.
- Websites and e-commerce. User journeys, content and UX, usability testing and managing implementations on Wix, WordPress and Python-based platforms in collaboration with developers.
- Customer acquisition. SEO, SEM, performance campaigns, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, content marketing and B2B prospecting, connected to specific stages of the buying decision.
- Sales. Proposals, presentations, conversation scripts, value arguments, pricing models, negotiations and materials that help salespeople explain a product’s value.
- Measurement and organisation. Analytics, KPIs, marketing budgets, CRM, automation and email marketing, plus processes connecting marketing, sales and external suppliers.
Thanks to this, I can assess how these elements influence each other. I can see when a campaign needs a better offer, a website needs a simpler purchase path, and sales need stronger arguments. I can also select specialists, prepare a brief for them and assess whether the proposed actions make sense.
I think like a business owner
Before Rek House was established, I ran the events company KGS Art Media, where I handled +400 events. I organized events, built teams, managed production, budgets and arrangements with clients and subcontractors. In subsequent companies, I was also responsible for recruitment, finance, legal issues, offer and product development, processes, technology and AI applications.
I know how much it takes to acquire a client, set a price, organize work and pay salaries. Therefore, when considering a strategy, I also ask about profitability, team capabilities, owner's time and implementation costs. The recommendation must match the company that will implement it.
The transition of Rek House from a broad marketing offer to specialization in video in 2022 was a practical lesson in choosing a direction for me. Such decisions require an assessment of the market, own competences and organizational costs. I bring the same perspective to my work with entrepreneurs.
I can translate a complex topic into an understandable story
As a creative producer, I combine a business goal with an idea, script and production organization. I determine what the recipient should understand, what can convince him and what decision the material should support. Then I choose the form, team and budget and lead the project to the finished material.
I have experience in communicating complex products, technologies and scientific issues. I talk to experts, quickly absorb knowledge and select what is important to the recipient. I can remain precise and at the same time explain what a given solution changes in the client's life or the operation of his company.
Working in various industries and international markets taught me how to quickly recognize the context, ask good questions and select arguments to suit the recipient's needs. I use these skills in strategies, offers, presentations and sales communications.
I can lead people and implement changes
I built and led teams of up to 20 people. I coordinated the work of creators, marketers, programmers and production teams. I establish the goal, priorities, responsibilities and sequence of actions. I make sure that people with different specializations understand how their work contributes to a common result.
International projects and events taught me how to make decisions under pressure, react to changes and manage limited time. I listen to people, explain decisions and look for solutions that take into account the needs of the client and the team. I also conduct consultations and training, during which I translate knowledge into tasks that participants can use in their work.

I check assumptions and draw conclusions
I start with questions, data and conversations with people. I separate what we know from what we assume. I formulate hypotheses, choose how to test them, and update the plan based on the results. I'm interested in both the numbers and the reasons behind customer decisions.
I approach technology and AI in the same way. I am looking for applications that improve analysis, communication, sales or work organization. I check the quality of the result, time savings and cost of the solution. The tool is intended to respond to a specific need of the company.
Curiosity also drives me outside of work
I make music, I sail, I ride a motorcycle and I'm a dog person. I read a lot about history, science, art and culture. I like to understand where people's decisions come from and why certain ideas change the world.
Stoic philosophy is close to me: responsibility for one's own decisions, courage, moderation and respect for others. I value simplicity, discipline and readiness to change my mind. My broad interests help me see similarities between seemingly distant problems and find new solutions for them.
What do I bring to your company?
I combine three perspectives: a strategist who chooses a direction; a marketer who understands the customer and the tools; and the entrepreneur who must organize people, money and work. This allows me to help you find the cause of the problem, decide where to start, and make the change.
I work with owners and management boards on the strategy, and with teams on its implementation. The starting point is the company's specific situation. The result is to be a clear direction, an understandable offer and a plan behind decisions, responsibilities and a method of checking results.

My take
Values.
I follow them in life and at work. I base them on Stoic philosophy and the scientific method.
The best story always wins.
Technology, data and knowledge are important. But the world lives in stories.
But since the beginning of time, humans have communicated with stories that compete with each other Darwinistically, according to meme theory. It's worth having the best fighter for this fight.
The world does not remember tables, charts and reports. You can have the best data, but if you don't turn it into a story, no one will carry it forward.
Constant development and creation lead to lasting happiness.
Whoever does not learn and change will die out. The world rewards those who change with it.
People are creative by nature, and creation brings lasting happiness, which the Greeks called eudaimonia - a state of flourishing, good spirit, full of happiness and fulfillment, achieved by living in accordance with virtues, reason and one's own values, and not through momentary pleasure.
Courage, wisdom, kindness and moderation are always a good choice.
When you don't know what to do, think about these four Stoic virtues. They are usually enough to find a solution.
Courage (andreia) is the perseverance in facing challenges, speaking the truth and sticking to principles despite adversities.
Wisdom (phronêsis) is the ability to distinguish good from evil and understand one's place in a larger system.
Justice/kindness (dikaiosynê) is a commitment to act and think good not only for oneself, but also for others.
Temperance (sôphrosyne) is self-control and discipline in all aspects of life, as well as avoiding excess and unnecessary desires.
Your ego is your biggest enemy.
Haughtiness and races for social status are a manifestation of short-sightedness, not ambition and success. In the bigger picture, no one is more important than anyone else.
The ego takes away the humility necessary for learning, prevents you from creating yourself anew, and inhibits the necessary changes. It's healthy to fall and learn from it.
Instead of inflating your ego, it is better to build your skills and confidence. And always be careful - success lies on the fine line between self-confidence and narcissism. The ego is like dust on the floor. You wipe it off once and it seems to be gone. But if you don't clean regularly, it comes back.
Minimalism is beautiful and effective.
We revel in complexity, but true power lies in simplicity.
Minimalism leads to order, restrictions and boredom.
Order leads to a clear assessment of the situation, which translates into good decisions.
Boredom and limitations trigger creativity.
Only focus on what you can control.
Most fears and frustrations come from trying to influence things that do not depend on us - other people, random events, changes in the market or chance. It doesn't give you anything, it just takes away.
Control is in what is closest to us: our own decisions, reactions, habits, preparation.
The more you invest in what is within your reach, the greater your influence on the results - paradoxically, also on those areas that seem far away. Because consistency, competence and preparation attract opportunities.
Ignoring what you cannot control does not mean giving up, but wisely managing your most valuable capital: time and energy.
Rational thinking is power.
Rational thinking is sometimes painful, but it always pays off.
Thanks to it, you can separate facts from illusions, truth from what only seems to be true. It is the scientific method (observation -> verification -> evidence) that protects us from the cognitive errors that the mind so readily suggests.
The truth isn't always comfortable, but it always leads to better decisions. And good decisions always win in the long run.
Discipline is freedom.
Habits create everyday life, good everyday life creates greatness.
Take care of the quality of everything that affects you
We are what we eat, think, do, say, read and see. It is worth taking care of the quality of these choices.
We shape our environment, and it then shapes us. A beautiful and healthy environment is worth the effort.
Like the bugs.
Accept that you may be wrong. Appreciate that admitting you're wrong is growth. Evolution teaches us that the path to success is full of mistakes and dead ends. Instead of desperately avoiding it, it is better to embrace it and manage it wisely.
Life is too short to be fearful.
We live for a short time, no one will remember us in a few years - so let's not worry, just enjoy the given time and start making our dreams come true as soon as possible.
Delayed gratification is powerful.
Hunters had their reward immediately, but it was farmers who built civilization.
However, it is worth not exaggerating and remembering that in the long run we will all be dead. (John Maynard Keynes)
Happiness is the meeting of preparation and opportunity.
Therefore, it is always worth having a trained and ready body and mind.
People don't change
They just repeat the same patterns in a new technological package.
Our time and our attention are the greatest capital we have.
Everything else from the individual's perspective is infinite.
