IDEAS NCBiR

Communication strategy, videos and podcasts about artificial intelligence

The IDEAS NCBR team in the video

I combined the communication strategy with video and podcast production for IDEAS NCBR

IDEAS NCBR is a research and development center dealing with artificial intelligence and digital economy. The institution needed communication that would allow people with very different levels of knowledge to talk about complex research. I was responsible for the video and podcast strategy, material concepts and their implementation with the Rek House team. My task was to combine the knowledge of scientists, the goals of the communications team and the needs of the audience.

For me, two years of cooperation with Kuba on projects for IDEAS NCBR is, above all, an example of professionalism and reliability. What I really appreciated about him was that I could rely on his word - what was agreed was simply done. When discrepancies arose, whether in creative or budgetary matters, Kuba always approached the topic constructively, looking for a solution that took into account the goals of both parties.

He was involved in the creative process, but he never let the form overwhelm the content. He regularly asked questions about the strategic goals of the project, making sure that we did not lose them along the way, and his interest in new trends allowed us to implement complex and difficult materials in the field of artificial intelligence research. His ability to select a crew ensured that productions ran smoothly and efficiently. Openness to feedback, even critical feedback, built an atmosphere of trust and had a real impact on the quality of the final projects.

I recommend cooperation with Kuba to anyone who is looking for reliability, transparency and real commitment to the project in the creative industry.

My role: from communication purpose to publication

Communication strategy. I determined what role the material was to play: to introduce the topic, introduce experts, explain research or support the promotion of the institution. I made sure that this goal remained clear in the finished film.

Concepts and narrative. I translated the topic into an idea for a film or a podcast episode. I organized the message, selected the form and co-created a story that would be understandable to a viewer outside a given specialization.

Working with scientists. I directed statements from experts, including those who had little experience in front of the camera. I helped them speak freely and clearly, making sense of the issues discussed.

Guests and conversations. I participated in selecting topics and inviting guests to the podcasts. I wanted to show the people behind the research and the importance of their work.

Production organization. I selected the crew, prepared photo sets and studio recordings, and organized castings. I managed the project so that the creative arrangements, budget and deadline were consistent with each other.

Supervision of implementation. I supervised the editing, post-production and animations. I verified whether the form helps understand the topic and whether the material achieves the goal agreed with the client.

Distribution. I was responsible for preparing podcasts for publication on audio platforms and YouTube. Thanks to this, the conversations were available in a form convenient for various recipients.

Promotion. I ran a promotional campaign for the podcast and cooperated with the IDEAS NCBR team on organic activities. The publication was part of broader work to reach listeners.

The hardest part: understanding the topic and helping others understand it

When writing materials about cryptography or machine learning, I had to ensure both precision and accessibility. The expert knows the context that the viewer often does not have. My role was to notice this difference, ask about the meaning of the concepts and guide the statement so that the recipient could follow it. This required careful conversation with scientists and ensuring that editing shortcuts did not change the meaning of their words.

The scale of cooperation

  • Over 3 years of cooperation between Rek House and IDEAS NCBR, including films, podcasts and their distribution.
  • 2 tender procedures in which Rek House was selected to handle video and podcast production.
  • 33 episodes of the "Wider Context of AI" podcast produced as part of the collaboration.
  • 7.8 thousand subscribers and over 308 thousand views on the IDEAS NCBR YouTube channel.

Channel data as of August 22, 2026. They concern the entire institution's channel and show the scale of where our materials are published. They are not the sole result of my actions or the work of Rek House.

Formats tailored to the recipient and task

  • Image films: presentation of the institution, its team and the importance of the research conducted.
  • Videos about research projects and explainers: explaining a complex issue and its possible applications.
  • "AI After Hours": a series of questions and answers introducing researchers and the topics of their work.
  • Reports and conversations with experts: materials from hackathons, seminars and events, including Fireside Chat with Sam Altman.

What did this cooperation give the IDEAS NCBR team?

The communications team received materials to use in publications, presentations, events and to promote the institution. Various topics could be narrated in a coherent way, and expert knowledge remained available even after the recording or meeting ended.

I was responsible for carrying the project through subsequent stages and ensuring the arrangements. I combined the conversation about goals with decisions about form, crew work and post-production. For the client, this meant a partner with whom it was possible to agree on both the direction of communication and the method of its implementation.

The Broader Context of AI Podcast

The podcast allowed us to develop topics that there was not enough space for in a short film. The talks concerned research conducted at IDEAS NCBR, their possible applications, directions of AI development and challenges related to this technology.

I worked on the concept of the series, selection of guests, recordings and editing. I wanted the listener to understand why a given research problem is important and where the results of scientists' work can be applied.

I was also responsible for distribution and ran the promotional campaign. Together with the IDEAS NCBR team, we worked on reaching the audience organically. In this way, I combined preparing the content with ensuring that it reached the audience.

Listen to the podcast:

An hour for a montage of Sam Altman's speech

During Sam Altman's visit to Poland at the invitation of IDEAS NCBR, his speech had to be assembled within an hour. My entire team was working on the set at the time, and I was supervising the renovation of the apartment. So I sat down to assemble it myself, with my clothes covered in dust and the sound of a drill. The material was created in the required time. This story clearly illustrates what I mean by project responsibility: when an urgent need arises, I commit to solving it.
